Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The study objectives of this projects are to examine the hypothesis that the sympathetic and blood pressure responses to exercise will be attenuated during and after heat exposure in patients with peripheral artery disease, via altering the sensitivity of the muscle afferent receptors.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Capable of giving informed consent
  2. * Any race or ethnicity
  3. * Men and women age 21- 85 years (inclusive)
  4. * Fluent in written and spoken English
  5. * Diagnosed with PAD (i.e., ankle-brachial index below 0.9)
  6. * Fontaine stage II or less - no pain while resting
  7. * Satisfactory history and physical exam
  8. * Satisfactory history and physical examination
  9. * Free of acute medical conditions
  1. * Age \< 21 years
  2. * Pregnant or nursing women
  3. * Decisional impairment
  4. * Prisoners
  5. * History of CAD with symptoms of unstable angina or myocardial infarction (\<6 months)
  6. * History of epilepsy or seizure disorders
