Diabetic Foot Ulcer Imaging- Study 2

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

All study procedures will occur during one appointment. The research team will measure the size of the foot ulcer (if one is present) and multiple photos will be taken with a smart phone camera and thermal camera. Demographic information will be obtained from the medical record.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:21 Years to 100 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes
  2. * Has a current foot lesion
  3. * Receiving care through University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) Iowa River Landing Diabetes Clinic, UIHC Internal Medicine Clinic, or UIHC Orthopedic Clinic.
  1. * Cognitive impairment that prevents consent
  2. * Lack of fluency in speaking or understanding English
  3. * Known aversion to research studies
