Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study is being done to better understand the relationship between inflammation in adipose tissue (AT), abnormal deposition of fat around the liver and how this affects its appearance and function and ultimately insulin resistance.

Participation Criteria

Ages Eligible for Study:30 Years to 70 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Undergoing gastric bypass surgery
  2. * Confirmed AUROC F=0 or F\>2 liver fibrosis
  3. * Age 30-70 years
  4. * BMI greater than 40 kg/m2
  5. * Negative pregnancy test (female only)
  6. * Lab Values: Normal TSH
  1. * Autoimmune diseases
  2. * Hepatitis B or C positive
  3. * Heavy alcohol use
  4. * Active smoking history
  5. * Active cancer history
  6. * History of asthma
  7. * History of COPD
  8. * Taking Plavix or Coumadin
  9. * Blood donation within past 2 months
  10. * Glucocorticoid Therapy
  11. * Taking antihistamine on regular basis
