Multisensory Rehabilitation of Hemianopia

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The current proposal is to generate "proof of concept" evidence that hemianopia can be successfully rehabilitated in humans when this multisensory rehabilitation paradigm is used.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 85 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL

Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * adults (\<85) of either sex
  2. * diagnosis of a stable homonymous hemianopia (\>6 months) with absence of hemineglect
  3. * lesion encompassing at least primary visual cortex but sparing parietal cortex
  4. * normal auditory and cognitive function
  5. * willingness to participate in the three month program
  6. * ability to perform the visual discriminations in their intact field
