Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This is a prospective pilot study to evaluate changes before and 4 weeks after beta-blocker withdrawal in 30 HFpEF patients.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:50 Years to 80 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Stable HFpEF patients with NYHA Class II-III or elevated BNP ≥100
  2. * N=30 (Target: 30).
  3. * Age: 50 \~ 80 years.
  4. * ECHO evidence of EF ≥50% and Grade 2 or 3 diastolic dysfunction.
  5. * Chronic loop diuretic use
  6. * Currently on beta-blocker
  1. * Beta blocker was prescribed for treating other cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation or coronary artery disease.
  2. * Heart rate \> 100 bpm
  3. * Recent hospitalization due to HF within 3 months
  4. * Non-English speaker
