Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of this collaborative CTSA application is to develop an innovative perioperative precision analgesia platform (PPAP) to improve analgesia and reduce serious immediate and long-term adverse outcomes of perioperative opioids in children undergoing painful surgery.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:CHILD, ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Children ages 10 to 21
  2. * ASA physical status 1 to 3
  3. * Undergoing Posterior-Lateral Spinal Fusion
  4. * Receives in-patient opioids
  5. * Prescribed opioids at discharge
  1. * Serious illness
  2. * Preoperative severe pain
  3. * Preoperative opioid use or misuse
