Upper Extremity Life Care Specialist (LCS)

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This is a randomized control trial aimed at learning more about LCS position and the value it provides to the patient's who have sustained upper extremity traumas.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Male and female patients 18 years of age or older
  2. * Orthopaedic trauma patients with an isolated upper extremity injury requiring surgery
  3. * Informed consent obtained
  4. * Working cellphone
  1. * Enrolled in a study that does not permit co-enrollment
  2. * Unlikely to comply with the follow-up schedule
  3. * Unable to converse, read or write English at elementary school level
  4. * Unlikely to complete surveys at home, access to phone
  5. * Incarcerated
  6. * Pregnant
  7. * Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive
