Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The goal of Keeping on Course is to develop and test a psychoeducation program to provide dyads facing mild cognitive impairment (MCI) with communication skills and strategies that will establish or restore a sense of agency as they cope with MCI.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Either a person with MCI, defined as a score of 23-27 on the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) or a score of 19-25 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), or an MCI care partner
  2. * Can read, speak, and understand English
  3. * Have internet connectivity and a separate zoom-enabled device for each dyad member
  4. * Dyads must live together, as this will provide sufficient opportunity for intervention homework and communication practice activities
  1. * Individuals who are not yet adults (infants, children, teenagers)
  2. * Pregnant women
  3. * Prisoners
  4. * Individuals who are not able to clearly understand and speak English
  5. * Those living with MCI will need to successfully complete a capacity to consent survey to be included in the study
