Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study will examine the effect of TMS on people with stroke and aphasia as well as healthy individuals.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 85 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Diagnosed with left hemisphere stroke
  2. * Consent date \>= 1 month after stroke onset
  3. * Right-handed
  4. * Fluent in English
  5. * 18 years of age or older
  1. * Severe cognitive, auditory or visual impairments that would preclude cognitive and language testing
  2. * Non-decisional per decisionality questionnaire or other clinical assessment
  3. * Presence of major untreated or unstable psychiatric disease (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar disease)
  4. * A chronic medical condition that is not treated or is unstable
  5. * Presence of
  6. 1. cardiac stimulators or pacemakers or intracardiac lines
  7. 2. neurostimulators
  8. 3. medication infusion device
  9. 4. any other implants near the scalp (e.g., cochlear implants) or in the eye
  10. 5. metal in the body
  11. * Pregnancy
  12. * History of skull fractures, or skin diseases
  13. * History of ongoing or unmanaged seizures or a family history of epilepsy
  14. * Presence of factors that potentially decrease seizure thresholds
  15. * On pro-convulsant medications
  16. * Untreated Sleep deprivation or insomnia
  17. * Ongoing alcoholism or illegal drug abuse (e.g., cocaine or MDMA users)
  18. * History of dyslexia or other developmental learning disabilities
