Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:30 Years to 90 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Age 30-90 yrs.
  2. * Smartphone ownership
  3. * Office SBP: ≥ 140 mm Hg
  4. * ≤ 2 current anti-HTN meds
  5. * Able to add or dose-increase at least 2 of the following classes of medications: ACE-I/ARB, diuretic, calcium channel blocker, beta-blocker, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (i.e., at least 2 classes are available for addition or dose- increases after excluding intolerant medications and medications currently at maximum dose)
  6. * English or Spanish-speakers
  1. * Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (EF \< 40%)
  2. * ESRD (GFR \<15)
  3. * Renal replacement therapy
  4. * Pregnant
  5. * Myocardial infarction or stroke within preceding 6 months
  6. * Hospitalization for hypertensive emergency or malignant hypertension within preceding 6 months
  7. * Prior solid organ transplantation
  8. * At the clinical discretion of the investigators
  9. * Enrolled in another clinical study
