This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effects of a digital (web and mobile-phone-based) program to improve lifestyle behaviors (physical activity, dietary intake) among Hispanic female cancer survivors and adult daughters.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:21 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:FEMALE
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Grandmother
  2. * Self-identifies as Hispanic
  3. * Diagnosis of breast cancer (stages I-III), endometrial or ovarian cancer (stages I-II)
  4. * Completed active treatment (i.e., surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation)
  5. * Body Mass Index (BMI) ≥ 25 (overweight range)
  6. * Engages in \<150 minutes/week of moderate physical activity
  7. * English or Spanish speaking
  8. * Owns a mobile device with internet access (e.g., smartphone, tablet)
  9. * Lives in South Florida
  1. * Has been diagnosed with distant metastatic cancer
  2. * Has not completed active treatment (i.e., surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation)
  3. * Has uncontrolled schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
  4. * Has a preexisting medical condition that precludes unsupervised physical activity (e.g., severe orthopedic conditions,wheelchair bound).
