Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate if peri-operative zolpidem for posterior lumbar spinal fusion improves patient reported outcomes following surgery.

Participation Criteria

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 75 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * degenerative lumbar disease
  2. * age of 18-75
  3. * undergoing open primary one- to three-level lumbar fusion
  1. * currently use a sleep aid nightly
  2. * diagnosed with insomnia or sleep apnea
  3. * history of delirium with opiates or zolpidem
  4. * allergic to opiates or zolpidem
  5. * had previous lumbar spine surgery
  6. * undergoing minimally invasive lumbar fusion,
  7. * undergoing lumbar fusion for fracture, infection, tumor, or an inflammatory spondyloarthropathy
