Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare two types of surgical fixation in patients with specific kinds of distal femur fractures. The main questions it aims to answer is which operation for distal femur fractures is better for efficient return to work and everyday activities.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Age greater than or equal to 18 years
  2. * Surgically treated displaced distal femur extra articular or complete articular fractures
  1. * Patients with injury features that preclude treatment with 2 implants
  2. * Patients unlikely to follow-up due to homelessness, or planning follow up at another institution
  3. * Body Mass Index (BMI) \> 40
  4. * Injury due to ground level fall
  5. * Patient that speaks neither English or Spanish
  6. * Patients with multisystem injuries that could preclude return to work
  7. * \< 18 years of age
  8. * Prisoner
