Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 49 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * report heavy drinking in a typical week in the past month
  2. * meet DSM-5 criteria for Alcohol Use Disorder
  3. * meet DSM-5 and research diagnostic criteria for Insomnia Disorder
  1. * ≥50 years
  2. * unable to provide informed consent
  3. * report contraindications for CBT-I (mania or seizure disorder)
  4. * moderate to severe sleep apnea that is untreated
  5. * have symptoms requiring immediate clinical attention (e.g., psychosis, suicide plan)
  6. * are already receiving behavioral treatment for insomnia or alcohol use
