Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study will test the effectiveness of different types of driver training interventions for reducing young new driver crash risk early after licensure.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:16 Years to 17 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:CHILD
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Adolescents ages 16-17 years old who reside in Pennsylvania
  2. * Have an active Pennsylvania learner's permit
  3. * Have \<30 hours of driving practice during permit phase
  4. * Have never taken an on-road licensing exam, in any state
  5. * Plan to get a license within the next 12 months in Pennsylvania
  6. * Plan to have access to a vehicle to drive after licensure
  7. * Have a personal cell phone and access to a smartphone/tablet/computer with internet access
  8. * Download and use the RoadReady app (only required for participants randomized to the behind-the-wheel training arm; optional for participants randomized to the online vehicle and driver safety and online driver skills training arms)
  9. * Are able to read/write in English
  10. * Provide informed consent/assent
  11. * Are not also taking part in another learner driver study
  1. * Non-Pennsylvania resident
  2. * Participants who do not pass the license exam will not be able to complete the post-license monitoring until the license is obtained
  3. * Enrolled in another learner driver study
