Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This project tests whether individuals with overweight or obesity and high craving can learn to change their brain response to food cues using neurofeedback, to impact their craving and eating behavior.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 60 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Ages 18 to 60 years
  2. * Body mass index \>25 kg/m2
  3. * \>2.37 Food Craving Inventory score
  1. * Use of anti-obesity medications
  2. * Weight-reduced state defined as \>10% weight reduction in the past 6 months.
  3. * Nicotine use
  4. * Current diagnosis of neurological or psychiatric disorder
  5. * Obesity-related diseases such as type-2 diabetes
  6. * Contraindications to MRI
  7. * Baseline scanning with motion \>0.15mm frame to frame displacement.
