Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 25 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Able to provide their own informed consent and understand study procedures
  2. * Undergraduate and graduate students attending Emory University affiliated campuses who reside in university affiliated housing (for undergraduate/graduate) or in off-campus housing (undergraduates).
  1. * University faculty and staff
  2. * Currently pregnant or breast feeding
  3. * History of immediate or moderate-to-severe allergic reactions to azithromycin
  4. * Individuals who have taken systemic antibiotics for any reason in the 30 days prior to enrollment
  5. * Individuals with any symptoms of acute illness at the time of screening
