ACT for HIV-Positive Men

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of the current study is to examine the feasibility and effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy, a specific form of cognitive-behavioral therapy, for treating general mental health concerns among HIV-positive men.

Participation Criteria

Sexes Eligible for Study:MALE
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * identify as a man
  2. * be at least 18 years old
  3. * has been diagnosed with HIV by a healthcare professional
  1. * has engaged in self-harm within the last three months
  2. * has attempted suicide within the last year
  3. * has had an active plan to attempt suicide within the last 30 days
  4. * is currently diagnosed with any eating disorder
  5. * has experienced hallucinations or delusions within the last 30 days
  6. * has used narcotics within the last 7 days (heroin, meth, crack cocaine, opioids)
