Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The proposed project addresses the goal of exploring preschooler's ability to recognize changes in feelings of hunger/satiety based on consuming a snack and a meal (lunch/dinner) that are either based on the usual childcare center fare (control) or are based on lean meats (intervention), which will have a lower glycemic index.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL

Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * child 2-5 years old
  2. * Parents of at least one child aged 2-5 years old
  3. * Parents can communicate in English.
  4. * Parents in households who do not have a cultural/ religious reason to abstain from to consuming pork
  1. * Child participants:
  2. * Food allergies
  3. * Taking medication that affects food intake (such as stimulant medications),
  4. * Children with diabetes or impaired glucose control.
  5. * Children with digestive disease (such as Crohn's)
  6. * Dietary/religious preferences that exclude consumption of pork
