Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of this study is to assess if Pain Ease vapocoolant spray decreases pain associated with lidocaine injection during Nexplanon insertion procedures.

Participation Criteria

Sexes Eligible for Study:FEMALE
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:CHILD, ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * At least 14 years or older
  2. * Undergoing an etonogestrel implant insertion in the arm in POB1 Suite 1004 or POB2 Suite 402
  3. * English speaking
  4. * Able and willing to sign the informed consent form and agree to terms of the study
  1. * Required or requested narcotics, anxiolytics, IV sedation, or general anesthesia for the procedure
  2. * Known previous exposure to vapocoolant spray
  3. * Nexplanon removal and reinsertion in same visit
  4. * Contraindications to vapocoolant spray components (ethyl chloride and 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane/1,1,1,2-tetrafluroethane)
  5. * Unable to provide written, informed consent in English
