Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The goal of this study is to understand whether a brief, three session program can be helpful in reducing symptoms related to both chronic pain and stressful experiences/trauma.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:21 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Presence of a chronic pain condition (pain for at least 3 months or more)
  2. * History of psychosocial trauma or stressful experience (Adverse Childhood Events questionnaire \[ACEs\] score of ≥ 3 OR Trauma History Questionnaire Score \[THQ\] of ≥ 2)
  3. * English fluency
  4. * Access to a smartphone, laptop, or computer
  5. * Able to participate in the intervention via a virtual platform
  1. * Unable to participate in 3 weekly sessions
  2. * Unable to complete study procedures due to the presence of delirium, dementia, psychosis, or other cognitive impairment
