Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study aims to enhance the Healthy Minds Program (HMP) app by developing and testing a personalized, data-driven approach to optimize long-term well-being. 1100 participants will be enrolled and on study for up to 4 months (4 week intervention plus 3 month follow-up).

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Elevated symptoms of depression (PHQ-9 greater than or equal to 5)
  2. * proficiency in English
  3. * access to a smartphone and internet
  4. * ability to receive text messages
  1. * Prior experience with meditation
  2. * Prior use of the Healthy Minds Program app
  3. * History of psychosis or mania
  4. * Plans to travel in the next six weeks
  5. * Suicidal ideation or thoughts of self-harm indicated by PHQ-9 item 9 and BDI item 9
  6. * Failure to select the correct code word mentioned in the welcome video
  7. * Not a US citizen
  8. * Non-permanent resident
