Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Controls
  2. * Normal video swallow or score of 0 for dysphagia on ESSAI questionnaire
  3. * absence of dysphagia
  4. * age \>18 EoE participants
  5. * Documentation of EoE diagnosis by histologic criteria,
  6. * \>15 eos/hpf on most recent esophageal biopsy
  7. * age \>18
  1. * Abnormal baseline video swallow
  2. * lack of MSK coordination to eat test meal
  3. * underlying neuromuscular disorder.
