Repeated Far Infrared Sauna Bathing in Adults With Obesity

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This is a clinical trial to determine if 30 sessions of far infrared sauna bathing can improve cardiovascular and metabolic function in adults with obesity.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * BMI between 30-45 kg/m2
  1. * diagnosed diabetes, greater than stage 2 hypertension, coagulopathies, allergies to lidocaine, medications affecting blood pressure, blood clotting, and blood sugars, smoker, pregnant, desiring to become pregnant in the near future, or breastfeeding, BMI less than 30 or greater than 45 kg/m2, exercising \> 120 min/week, taking medications (other than hormone contraceptives) not willing to stop for 24 hours before testing days
