PROSTATE-IQ: Parallel RandOmized STudy of Personalized Apalutamide Treatment and Evaluation to Improve Quality of Life in Post-Operative Radiation With Androgen Axis Suppression. A Phase III Multi-center Study for Men With Detectable PSA After Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer.

AMNIOX CORD Study - Radical Prostatectomy With and Without Cryopreserved Umbilical Cord Allograft

This study aims at evaluating if placement of CLARIX® CORD 1K during robotic prostatectomy decreases the time to achieve complete erectile and urinary function after the surgery. As part of the study, the patient will be asked to answer various questions after the surgery regarding sexual and urinary function.

Neoadjuvant High Dose Rate Brachytherapy Prior to Radical Prostatectomy in Patients With Prostate Cancer

This is a Phase I/II trial evaluating the effectiveness of adding neoadjuvant HDR-B prior to RALP for HR-PCa patients with selective AAB for decipher high risk or pathologically node positive patients. Patients with newly diagnosed, histologically confirmed, non-metastatic, HR-PCa who are scheduled to receive RALP will be eligible to participate in the study.

Feasibility of Timesaving When Using Histolog Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy for Margin Assessment in Prostatectomy Specimen

This study investigates a new, faster way to find cancer cells on the surface of the prostate during radical prostatectomy surgery. A recently FDA-approved device, called the Histolog Scanner, gives high-resolution imaging of the surface of fresh tissue using ultra-fast confocal microscopy, which allows physicians to make surgical decisions quickly.

Feasibility and Effect of Wrapping Nerves With a Multi-Layer Perinatal Tissue Allograft During Prostatectomy

This clinical trial studies whether a new multi-layer perinatal tissue allograft, MLG-Complete (Trademark), can be used to improve complications after nerve-sparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) in patients with prostate cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body (localized). Two major complications that can happen after complete surgical removal of the prostate (radical prostatectomy) include erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence, both of which greatly affect a patient's quality of life and social well-being. The goal of nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy is to preserve erectile and urinary function, but damage to the surrounding nerves and blood vessels can still occur causing the patient to experience the complications. An allograft is the transplant of an organ, tissue, or cells from one individual to another individual of the same species who is not an identical twin. The MLG-Complete allograft is made up of perinatal tissue and is placed on the nerve bundles during a nerve-sparing RARP. It is meant to serve as a barrier and provide coverage to the nerve bundles from the surrounding environment, which may improve post-nerve-sparing RARP complications.

A Platform Study of Epigenetic Therapy Before Prostatectomy in Men With Prostate Cancer

This is an open-label, non-randomized, exploratory platform protocol designed to assess the safety and antitumor activity of epigenetic therapies in participants with localized prostate cancer who are undergoing radical prostatectomy. The epigenetic therapy is intended to increase the sensitivity of the underlying tumor to the patient's immune system. The platform study will evaluate safety, biomarkers, and clinical activity of an epigenetic therapy. The particular details relevant to each module within this platform study will be provided as appendices to the core protocol.

Neoadjuvant Lu-177-PSMA-617 in Patients With High Risk Localized Prostate Cancer Undergoing Radical Prostatectomy

District of Columbia · Washington, DC

Male adults with a confirmed diagnosis of prostate adenocarcinoma who meet criteria for localized high risk prostate cancer according to the NCCN guidelines and who are eligible for prostatectomy will be invited to participate. Criteria for high-risk prostate cancer include patients with preoperative prostate biopsy score of Gleason 8 (GS8) (Grade group 4 \[GG4\]) or higher. Patients also need to have a positive PSMA scan on 68-Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT scan.

A Study of a Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercise Program Before and After Radical Prostatectomy

The researchers are doing this study to find out if a PFME program to reduce urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy is feasible for people with prostate cancer. The researchers will track how many participants join the study, follow the program, and stay in the study. They will also evaluate how people feel about their experience and satisfaction with participating in this program through interviews. They will also measure participants' quality of life by filling out questionnaires, and we will study whether the program shows promise in reducing urinary incontinence. Radical prostatectomy sometimes causes incontinence after the surgery. The researchers think that by teaching PFME and strengthening and improving control of the pelvic floor muscles, PFME training before and after radical prostatectomy may help reduce incontinence and/or reduce how long incontinence lasts.
