Description

This phase 2 trial studies how well remetinostat works in treating patients with skin basal cell cancer. Remetinostat may slow the growth of basal cell cancer cells.

Electronic Skin Surface Brachytherapy for Cutaneous Basal Cell and Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Description

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of electronic skin surface brachytherapy (ESSB) for early stage basal or squamous cell carcinoma of the skin using a new device. This new device is Nucletron's Esteya Electronic Skin Surface Brachytherapy System. The investigators want to understand what effects, good and/or bad this device for delivering brachytherapy has on your skin cancer. The investigators also want to assess the safety, cosmetic results, the effects that ESSB has on quality of life and to correlate skin imaging with clinical response to ESSB.

Intralesional Cemiplimab for Adult Patients With Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma or Basal Cell Carcinoma
Description

This study is researching an experimental drug called cemiplimab. The study is focused on Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (CSCC) and Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC). The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability (how your body reacts to the drug) of cemiplimab (also known as REGN2810). The first part of the study tested several different doses of cemiplimab given weekly for 12 weeks. The study is also looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from taking the study drug * To see effect of cemiplimab on the tumor * How much study drug is in the blood at different times

A Phase 1B/2 Study of RP1 in Solid Organ Transplant Patients With Advanced Cutaneous Malignancies
Description

This Phase 1B/2 study is a multicenter, open-label, study of RP1 to investigate the (a) objective response rate, in addition to (b) safety and tolerability of RP1 for the treatment of advanced cutaneous malignancies in up to 65 evaluable organ transplant recipients. This will include patients with either previous renal, hepatic, heart, lung, or other solid organ transplantation or hematopoietic cell transplant and experiencing subsequent documented locally advanced or metastatic cutaneous malignancies. The study will enroll a total of 65 evaluable patients. Patients will participate up to approximately 3 years including a 28-day screening period, up to approximately 1 year treatment period, and a 2-year follow-up period.

Phase II Study of Radiation Therapy and Vismodegib for Advanced Head/Neck Basal Cell Carcinoma
Description

Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery are standard treatments for basal cell carcinoma at most institutions. The purpose of this study is to determine whether adding vismodegib to radiation (chemoradiotherapy) is safe and tolerable. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of combined radiation therapy and vismodegib. This combination may increase the chances of the tumors being destroyed or unable to spread to other parts of the body in people with locally advanced basal cell carcinoma of the head and neck.

Immunotherapy in Combination With Prednisone and Sirolimus for Kidney Transplant Recipients With Unresectable or Metastatic Skin Cancer
Description

This phase II trial tests the combination of nivolumab and ipilimumab with sirolimus and prednisone for the treatment of skin (cutaneous) cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable) or that has spread from where it first started to other places in the body (metastatic) in kidney transplant recipients. Immunotherapy with nivolumab and ipilimumab, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Sirolimus and prednisone are immunosuppressants that are given to keep the body from rejecting the transplanted kidney. Giving nivolumab and ipilimumab in combination with sirolimus and prednisone may kill more cancer cells, while also keeping the transplanted kidney healthy, in patients with unresectable or metastatic cutaneous cancer who have received a kidney transplant.

A Study of MQ710 With and Without Pembrolizumab in People With Solid Tumor Cancer
Description

Participants of this study will have a diagnosis of a solid tumor cancer that has come back to its original location or spread beyond its original location (advanced), came back (relapsed) or worsened (refractory) after standard treatments, or no standard treatments are available for the participants' cancer. The purpose of this study if to find the highest dose of MQ710 that causes few or mild side effects in participants with a solid tumor cancer diagnosis.

A Window of Opportunity Trial of Intratumoral Injection of Copaxone® in Patients With Percutaneously Accessible Tumors
Description

The investigator believes that injecting Copaxone into tumors will help participants immune system fight cancer. This has been studied in mice and has shown encouraging results. Copaxone is a safe medication currently used to treat Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and has very few side effects. To be considered for this trial a tumor must be easy to be injected and must be at least the size of a pea. Participants will be closely monitored for any side effects. Tissue from before surgery will be compared to tissue after the treatment and surgery to be checked for immune response and anti-tumor effects.

The objectives of the study are: * To describe the effectiveness of cemiplimab 350 mg administered every 3 weeks (Q3W) for treatment of patients with advanced (defined as locally advanced or metastatic \[nodal or distant\]) cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) and patients with advanced (defined as locally advanced or metastatic \[nodal or distant\]) basal cell carcinoma (BCC) in real-world clinical settings * To evaluate the safety of cemiplimab based on incidence of treatment related immune-related adverse events (irAEs), infusion related reactions (IRRs), and treatment related serious adverse reactions (TSARs) in patients with advanced CSCC and patients with advanced BCC receiving cemiplimab treatment in real world clinical settings * To describe patient experience, including patient reported quality of life (QOL) and functional status, and clinician reported performance status in a real-world setting for patients with advanced CSCC and patients with advanced BCC * To describe baseline characteristics that could potentially be associated with health-related outcomes for patients with advanced CSCC and patients with advanced BCC undergoing treatment with cemiplimab * To describe patients who receive cemiplimab as treatment for CSCC or BCC in a real-world setting * To describe real-world use patterns of cemiplimab for CSCC and BCC * To investigate the long-term effects and effectiveness of cemiplimab in patients with advanced CSCC or advanced BCC * To describe the effectiveness of cemiplimab in immunosuppressed and immunocompetent patients with advanced CSCC or advanced BCC, regardless of etiology, per available data * To describe the effectiveness of cemiplimab after prior exposure to radiation therapy for CSCC per available data * To describe the effectiveness of cemiplimab as a first-line (1L) or later systemic treatment in patients with advanced CSCC, regardless of etiology, per available data * To describe the effectiveness of cemiplimab in patients with advanced BCC based on treatment patterns (reason for discontinuation, treatment exposure, etc) of prior Hedgehog inhibitor (HHI) usage

Tacrolimus, Nivolumab, and Ipilimumab in Treating Kidney Transplant Recipients With Selected Unresectable or Metastatic Cancers
Description

This phase I trial studies how well tacrolimus, nivolumab, and ipilimumab work in treating kidney transplant recipients with cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable) or has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Tacrolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving tacrolimus, nivolumab, and ipilimumab may work better in treating kidney transplant recipients with cancer compared to chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, or targeted therapies.

The goal of this observational study is to study blood samples and compare them to other biospecimens and clinical outcomes in participants who have melanoma or non-melanoma skin cancers. The main question it aims to answer is: * Are blood based signatures able to predict progression-free survival (PFS)? Participants undergoing regular treatment for their skin cancer will provide blood samples.

A Trial To Find Out If Vidutolimod Together With Cemiplimab Is Safe And If It Works In Adult Participants With Advanced Cancer Or Metastatic Cancer
Description

The goal of this study is to learn if giving cemiplimab and vidutolimod together could be effective in treating advanced cancer. The main questions it aims to answer are: * How many participants' cancers respond to vidutolimod together with cemiplimab? * Is vidutolimod together with cemiplimab safe and well-tolerated? * How well does vidutolimod together with cemiplimab treat participants' cancer? Participants will receive trial treatment for up to 2 years. 30 days after stopping treatment, participants will have a follow-up visit. After that visit, the trial staff will continue to follow up with participants about every 3 months, until the trial ends.

Description

The purpose of this study is to refine and pilot test educational material developed to educate and support patients receiving immunotherapy for advanced cancer. The intervention is an educational video and question prompt list (QPL) to promote communication between patients, caregivers, and the oncology team about the risks and benefits of immunotherapy.

In Situ Immunomodulation With CDX-301, Radiation Therapy, CDX-1140 and Poly-ICLC in Patients w/ Unresectable and Metastatic Solid Tumors
Description

This phase I trial evaluates the safety and effectiveness of in situ immunomodulation with CDX-301, radiotherapy, CDX-1140 and Poly-ICLC (Cohort A) and these with intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab and subcutaneous (SC) tocilizumab (Cohort B) in treating patients with unresectable and measurable metastatic melanoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), basal cell carcinoma (BCC), Merkel cell carcinoma, high-grade bone and soft tissue sarcoma or HER2/neu(-) breast cancer. CDX-301 may induce cross-presenting dendritic cells, master regulators in the immune system. Radiation therapy uses high energy to kill tumor cells and release antigens that may be picked up, processed and presented by cross-presenting dendritic cells. CDX-1140 and Poly-ICLC may activate tumor antigen-loaded,cross-presenting dendritic cells, and generate tumor-specific T lymphocytes, a type of immune cells, that can search out and attack cancers. Giving immune modulators and radiation therapy may stimulate tumor cell death and activate the immune system.

Description

This phase II trial studies how well talimogene laherparepvec and nivolumab work in treating patients with lymphomas that do not responded to treatment (refractory) or non-melanoma skin cancers that have spread to other places in the body (advanced) or do not responded to treatment. Biological therapies, such as talimogene laherparepvec, use substances made from living organisms that may stimulate or suppress the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving talimogene laherparepvec and nivolumab may work better compared to usual treatments in treating patients with lymphomas or non-melanoma skin cancers.

RATIONALE: Photodynamic therapy uses a drug that becomes active when it is exposed to a certain kind of light. When the drug is active, tumor cells are killed. Photodynamic therapy using silicon phthalocyanine 4 may be effective against skin cancer. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of photodynamic therapy using silicon phthalocyanine 4 in treating participants with actinic keratosis, Bowen's disease, skin cancer, or stage I or stage II mycosis fungoides.

RATIONALE: Photodynamic therapy uses light and drugs that make cancer cells more sensitive to light to kill tumor cells. This may be effective treatment for skin cancer and cancer that is metastatic to the skin. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in treating patients who have either squamous cell or basal cell carcinoma of the skin or solid tumors metastatic to the skin.
