Circumferential Periareolar Mastopexy Using SERI Surgical Scaffold
Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of SERI® Surgical Scaffold to maintain the size of the areola by providing additional soft tissue support after circumferential periareolar mastopexy.

Serratus Plane Block for Postoperative Pain Control
Description

This is a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial of serratus plane blocks in subjects undergoing outpatient unilateral or bilateral breast surgery. Ninety subjects will be enrolled into the study at presurgical testing. Subjects will be stratified based on surgery type and randomized to receive a serratus plane block with either bupivicaine HCL or placebo. All patients will receive standard intraoperative anesthesia and standard postoperative pain control. The primary endpoint is the amount of opioid administered postoperatively. Secondary endpoints include postoperative pain intensity at timed intervals, amount of opioid administered intraoperatively and postoperatively, incidence of nausea and vomiting, time to discharge and patient satisfaction

Systemic Symptoms: Biospecimen Analysis Study
Description

An increasing number of women are reporting a collection of non-specific systemic symptoms thought to be caused by their breast implants. There is no current pathophysiologic explanation or diagnostic test for BII; it is not a recognized medical disease at this time. This study aims to address the questions asked by patients, physicians, and the FDA with regard to the scientific validity of BII.

Seri Surgical Scaffold Support of the Lower Pole of the Breast
Description

Will the use of an FDA approved highly purified silk scaffold; Seri Surgical Scaffold help shape and hold the breast up on the chest preventing re-stretching and bottoming out of the breast in breast reduction or augmentation-mastopexy patients? The amount of stretch will be measured manually as well as percent of breast tissue measured with the Canfield Vectra 3-D Imaging system reporting the amount of breast tissue above and below the nipple level.
