This study is being conducted to assess the effect of dietary strawberry supplementation on cognition and mobility in obese middle-aged and older adults. It is hypothesized that plant compounds, present in strawberries, may improve cognition and mobility.
The WalkMore study will help find out how walking interventions can help overweight/obese postmenopausal women with increased risk of cardiovascular disease lower their blood pressure.
The specific aim of the proposed study is to conduct a pilot study involving 160 critically-ill lean and obese patients enrolled at 11 sites in Canada, the United States of America, Belgium and France in order to: Specific Aims * Confirm that we can achieve a clinically significant difference in calorie and protein intake between the two intervention groups. * Estimate recruitment rate i.e. number of eligible and enrolled patients per month per site. * Evaluate the safety, tolerance, and logistics around providing supplemental PN in the study population in the context of a multicenter trial, e.g. * To ensure adequate glycemic control in both groups. * To ensure that the other metabolic consequences of the feeding strategies are minimized. * To establish adequate compliance with study protocols and completion of case report forms A secondary aim of this pilot study will be: • To explore the effect of differential effects of calorie and protein delivery on muscle and mass function.
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase IIa study is designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of ASC30 Tablets and ASC30 Tablets A1.
The investigators will measure plasma concentrations of the hormones insulin and testosterone as well as measures of insulin sensitivity in women with overweight or obesity who have insulin resistance (IR). Women who meet these criteria that also have elevated total or free testosterone will be eligible to participate in the diet intervention. The dietary intervention is designed to produce a 5% reduction in starting body weight to test whether weight loss will acutely lower fasting insulin and testosterone concentrations.
The main purpose of this study is to see how orforglipron, compared with placebo, helps reduce body weight in participants with obesity or with overweight and at least one other related health condition (excluding type 2 diabetes). This trial is part of the master protocol study J2A-MC-GZPO. Participation in the study will last about 18 months.
The main aim of the study is to assess the effect of RO7204239 in combination with tirzepatide, compared to placebo in combination with tirzepatide, on body weight loss after 48 weeks of treatment in adults with obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related comorbidity, but without diabetes mellitus (DM). The study comprises of a 4-week screening period; a 48-week core treatment period, where all participants will receive tirzepatide as background treatment and will be randomized to one of the 4 treatment arms; a 24-week treatment extension period, where participants will stop treatment with tirzepatide and a 24-week post-treatment follow-up (FU) period.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate efficacy and safety of three doses of petrelintide versus placebo in participants with overweight or obesity and type 2 diabetes.
This study is designed to test how well once-weekly MET097 (an ultra-long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist) works to treat adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) compared to placebo. MET097 or placebo will be administered to individuals via subcutaneous injection once weekly for 28 weeks. If an individual is randomly assigned to MET097 they will receive one of four different dose regimens.

The objective of this study is to recruit 60 healthy moderately overweight subjects to participate in a research study investigating the effects of a specific probiotic strain (Lactobacillus plantarum KABP-51) on measures of psychological mood state, gut microbiome status, stress hormones, and body composition (body fat and muscle mass). Our subjects will be measured 4 times over the course of a 12-week supplementation period - at Baseline, Week 4, Week 8, and Week 12. We will have 2 groups (N=30 per group): * Probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum KABP-51 * Placebo (maltodextrin/corn starch) Subjects will be recruited from local fitness/wellness centers and businesses (e.g. Plymouth Fitness; Planet Fitness; Marathon Sports, etc) using a simple flyer. If volunteers meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria, they will review/sign the Informed Consent Form (ICF) before any Baseline measurements are collected. Participants will meet weekly (via online webinar) for educational sessions on nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and related healthy lifestyle topics. This periodic contact is extremely effective for maintaining compliance with the supplementation regimen and reducing dropouts. Our expectation is that this fairly simple 12-week design will show that the KABP-51 probiotic strain can support a variety of psychological benefits such as reduced stress and improved mood; as well as physical benefits such as improved stress hormone exposure and microbiome balance - all of which may lead to improved body composition (lower body fat and improved muscle mass).
This is a Phase 2 study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of 24, 36, and 48 mg GZR18 (Q2W) compared with placebo and 15 mg tirzepatide (QW). The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether adding yoga exercise to a behavioral weight loss intervention improves weight loss in adults with overweight or obesity. It will also provide information about whether this approach to weight loss has additional benefits on other health and fitness measurements. Participants will: * Participate in a weight loss program for a period of 12 months that involves attending behavioral weight loss sessions. This involves coming to a session at the research center weekly for the initial 6 months and then every other week for the remaining 6 months. * Attempt to reduce the amount of food that they eat to reduce the calories they consume. * Participate in a combination of aerobic exercise plus yoga or just aerobic exercise. * Keep a record of the food they consume, use a digital scale provided to them, and wear an activity tracker provided to them for the period of 12 months. * Visit the clinical before starting the weight loss program, after 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months to complete measurements of their weight and other measurements to monitor their progress. * Complete exercise sessions in the clinic between weeks 2-6, at month 6, and at month 12 to provide information about how they response to a single session of exercise.

The main purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of LY3841136 when administered in combination with tirzepatide in overweight and obese patients. The study will last up to approximately 42 weeks.
This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old and have * presumed or confirmed NASH together with overweight or obesity and * a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or more, or * a BMI of 27 kg/m² and at least one weight-related health problem. People with a history of other chronic liver diseases cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide helps people living with obesity or overweight and a confirmed or presumed liver disease called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) to have less liver fat and to lose weight. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets different doses of survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Every participant has a 2 in 3 chance of getting survodutide. Participants and doctors do not know who is in which group. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under their skin once a week for about 1 year. In addition to the study medicine, all participants receive counselling to make changes to their diet and to exercise regularly. Participants are in the study for about 1 year and 3 months. During this time, it is planned that participants visit the study site up to 14 times and receive 3 phone calls by the site staff. The doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The participants' body weight is regularly measured. At 3 of the visits, the participants' liver is measured using different imaging methods. The results are compared between the groups to see whether the treatment works.
