The goal of this clinical trial is to learn how prednisone affects adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It will also learn about the safety of prednisone. The main questions it aims to answer are: * How does prednisone affect the core features and associated target symptoms of ASD in adults with an immune-mediated subtype of ASD? * Is prednisone safe for autistic adults without causing too many side effects? * Does this study warrant larger trials studying anti-inflammatory drugs in this subject population? Researchers will compare the drug prednisone to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see how prednisone affects autistic adult males. Participants will: * Visit the clinic 2 times for a screening and baseline visit. * Take prednisone or a placebo every day for 16 weeks. * Visit the clinic 2 times for checkups, tests, questionnaires, and dose changes, and 1 time for a follow-up visit 4 weeks after stopping the study drug. * Provide blood and urine samples for testing up to 4 times. * Complete 8 remote calls every 1-2 weeks for checkups and dose changes. * Keep a diary of the dose and times they take the study drug every day and any symptoms or side effects they experience.
Patients on this study will self administer Prednisone for three days before starting Radiation Therapy (RT) and continue to take 60 mg/day during the first three fractions of RT.
This is a global, multi-center, open-label, randomized phase 1b/2, active-controlled safety and efficacy study of oral administration of tazemetostat in combination with enzalutamide or abiraterone/prednisone (phase 1b) versus enzalutamide or abiraterone/prednisone alone in asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic subjects with progressive, metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who have progressed on either abiraterone acetate, enzalutamide, or apalutamide or who are second generation anti-androgen treatment naive, and who have not received chemotherapy for mCRPC. This study is designed to determine the recommended phase 2 doses (RP2D) of tazemetostat in combination with either enzalutamide or abiraterone/prednisone, based on safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and efficacy profiles.
This is an open-label pilot study of tocilizumab (TCZ) 162 mg weekly administered subcutaneously for 52 weeks in combination with 8 weeks of oral prednisone.
Some of the most common side effects of the multiple sclerosis drug Plegridy (pegylated interferon beta-1a) include flu-like symptoms and injection site reactions. Physicians often advise patients to take Tylenol or aspirin prior to injection, but in this study the investigators evaluated whether using a low dose of oral steroid in combination with Tylenol reduced flu-like symptoms and injection site reactions.
Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) is a type of cancer that can damage tissue or cause lesions to form in one or more places in the body. Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a cancer that begins in LCH cells (a type of dendritic cell which fights infection). Sometimes there are mutations (changes) in LCH cells as they form. These include mutations of the BRAF gene. These changes may make the LCH cells grow and multiply quickly. This causes LCH cells to build up in certain parts of the body, where they can damage tissue or form lesions. For most patients with LCH, standard-of-care vinblastine/prednisone are used as front-line therapy while cytarabine therapy has been used as therapy for patients who develop recurrence. No alternate treatment strategy has been developed for frontline therapy in LCH. The purpose of this research study is to compare previously used vinblastine/prednisone to single therapy with cytarabine for LCH. We will evaluate the utility of an imaging study called a positron emission tomography (PET) scan to more accurately assess areas of LCH involvement not otherwise seen in other imaging studies as well as response to therapy. We also want to identify if genetic and other biomarkers (special proteins in patient's blood and in patient's cancer) relate to the response of patients LCH to study treatment.
The purpose of this study is to characterize the tolerability profiles of enzalutamide and abiraterone acetate (with prednisone) -with specific focus on central nervous system (CNS) tolerability-and quality of life (QoL) after approximately 2 months of participants starting treatment with one of these agents for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
The purpose of this study is to find out what effects, good and/or bad, the drug nintedanib in combination with steroids, has on the lungs. Furthermore, such treatments' side effects will be studied together with quality of life. In addition, the investigators would like to determine whether they can find markers in the blood which predict worsening lung injury.
The purpose of this study is to compare the radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS) of apalutamide in combination with abiraterone acetate (AA) plus prednisone or prednisolone (AAP) and AAP in participants with chemotherapy-naive (participants who did not receive any chemotherapy \[treatment of cancer using drugs\]) metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) (cancer of prostate gland \[gland that makes fluid that aids movement of sperm\]).
The purpose of this study is to determine if the addition of daratumumab to velcade (bortezomib) melphalan-prednisone (VMP) will prolong progression-free survival (PFS) compared with VMP alone in participants with previously untreated multiple myeloma who are ineligible for high dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PCI-32765 (ibrutinib) administered in combination with either bendamustine and rituximab (BR) or rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) in adult participants with previously treated indolent Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
This study is a multi-center randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effects of using low-dose prednisone as compared to stopping prednisone treatment entirely. Participants will be randomized 1:1 to taper their prednisone dose down to 5 mg/day or to 0 mg/day for the duration of the study (approximately six months) or until a study endpoint.
This is a randomized controlled trial in patients with a diagnosis of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA; Wegener's)that are in remission to evaluate the effects of using low-dose glucocorticoids ( 5 mg/day of prednisone) as compared to stopping glucocorticoid treatment entirely (0 mg/day of prednisone)on rates of disease relapse/disease flares. This study is a novel approach to conducting a randomized clinical trial in the community setting. This study is being conducted in parallel with a similar study at established vasculitis institutions. This study will have a patient centric approach to research in that subjects will be recruited online and through social media and vasculitis support networks. Participants will be consented online and will receive care through their regular treating physician so no travel or additional doctor visits are required. Study participants will consent to the study and complete online questionnaires about their prednisone dose and about how they are feeling.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate if ibrutinib administered in combination with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) improves the clinical outcome in newly diagnosed patients with non-germinal center B-cell subtype (GCB) of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) selected by immunohistochemistry (IHC) or newly diagnosed patients with activated B cell-like (ABC) subtype of DLBCL identified by gene expression profiling (GEP) or both populations.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of multiple doses of isavuconazole on the pharmacokinetics of prednisolone after single dose administration of prednisone. This study will also assess the safety and tolerability of isavuconazole alone and in combination with prednisone.
The purpose of this study is to find out what effects, good and/or bad, taking ipilimumab with abiraterone acetate plus prednisone has on the patient and the prostate cancer. Abiraterone acetate plus prednisone are drugs that lower testosterone (testosterone stimulates prostate cancer growth). Abiraterone acetate plus prednisone is a treatment for patients with prostate cancer. Abiraterone acetate plus prednisone has not been used together with ipilimumab before. This study will test how they work together. Each patient will receive abiraterone acetate, prednisone and ipilimumab.
Cellulitis is the medical term for an infection of the skin, with symptoms including redness, swelling, warmth, and pain. This group of symptoms is called inflammation, and is caused by the body's immune system responding to the infection. Standard care for cellulitis is using antibiotics to destroy the infection, but the inflammation can persist and cause a great deal of pain. The hypothesis of this study is that adding a single dose of an oral steroid (prednisone), which tempers the immune response, will reduce inflammation, reduce pain, and speed recovery. This hypothesis will be examined by recruiting a group of patients with cellulitis, and randomizing them to two sub-groups: one group will receive a dose of prednisone, while the other group will receive a placebo. Neither group will know what they received unless there is a problem. These subjects will be followed up at the 48 hour mark and the 7 day mark, and will have their results compared.
The purpose of this study is to identify if, and at what dose, ibrutinib may be administered with R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) and to document responses of this combination in patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

This aim of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of elesclomol sodium at escalating doses (ultimately identifying the maximum tolerated dose) when combined with a fixed dose of docetaxel and concomitant prednisone. This study will also characterize the pharmacokinetics of elesclomol and docetaxel.
The purpose of this study is to replace a drug with many side effects, procarbazine, with a new novel drug, vorinostat, in a drug combination for the treatment of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Vorinostat is the first of a new type of chemotherapy drug, known as a histone deacetylase inhibitor, to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration. It is approved for the treatment of certain lymphomas of the skin. It alters the cancer cell pathway by preventing cancer cells from reproducing. Vorinostat will be added to a combination of four other effective chemotherapy drugs that have been used for many years for the treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: rituximab, cyclophosphamide, etoposide and prednisone. The doses of vorinostat will be increased or decreased depending on the side effects that occur in each of the first few patients in the trial to find the safest dose with the least side effects. This is termed the phase I part of the clinical trial. Once the best dose of vorinostat is found, the rest of the patients in the clinical trial will be treated with this dose. This is termed the phase II part of the trial. The object of the trial is to find out what effects, good and/or bad, the combination of vorinostat, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, etoposide and prednisone will have on you and your lymphoma.

This study will help determine if CoQ10 and prednisone, alone and as a combination decrease the decline in cardiopulmonary and skeletal muscle function that occurs in the wheelchair confined phase of DMD.
