15 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
This is a non-interventional, prospective, observational study of the outcomes for post myopic refractive surgery patients following successful, uncomplicated cataract surgery with bilateral implantation of the Vivity IOL (DAT\*\*\*/CCWET\*). Patients will be assessed for monocular and binocular distance, intermediate, and near vision.
Background: * The Tecnis Synergy intraocular lens (IOL) has a claim to allow patients to experience continuous high-contrast vision from far through near even in low-light conditions. * A J\&J-sponsored post marketing study done outside of the US claim superiority of range of vision for the Tecnis Synergy IOL over the PanOptix IOL. Hypothesis: * Patients with bilateral Panoptix IOLs have non-inferior distance, intermediate, and near visual acuity compared to patients with bilateral Synergy IOLs in both photopic and mesopic conditions with less glare, haloes, and/or starbursts. Unmet Medical Need: * There is a need to look at patient visual outcomes and the visual disturbance profile comparing trifocal technology with combined EDOF/Bifocal technology in the United States.
This is a non-interventional prospective, single center, bilateral, non-randomized, open-label, observational clinical study. All patients will have had bilateral implantation of an Eyhance IOL at the time of cataract surgery. These patients will then be compared to assess which patient biometric properties (such as spherical aberration, q value, pupil size, etc.) lead to an overall increase in near or intermediate vision as well as overall patient satisfaction.
Compare visual outcomes in patients with bilateral Clareon Monofocal IOLs versus bilateral Eyhance IOLs.
Angle Kappa is considered a potential factor in explaining suboptimal outcomes with intraocular lenses (IOLs), particularly multifocal IOLs. Some evidence suggests this is not the case. This study was designed to investigate correlations between angle kappa and post-surgical outcomes with a trifocal IOL.
Investigate the intraocular pressure(pressure inside the eye) of patients who are treated with Lotemax after undergoing cataract surgery.
The purpose of this study is to determine if Lotemax eye drops are at least as effective as Pred Forte eye drops, which are the standard of care after cataract surgery.
This study will determine the ability of three different intraocular lenses to accommodate in patients who have previously undergone bilateral intraocular lens implantation.
The objective of this investigator initiated study (IIT-002) is to collect data on commercial patients implanted with the RxSight Light Adjustable Lens (LAL).
This is a prospective comparative study that will be conducted at one clinical site in the United States, in which subjects who sign an informed consent form and fulfil all inclusion and exclusion criteria, will have OCT scans obtained using the test and the predicate devices. There will be two main types of analyses performed as part of this study, including 1) a precision analysis, and 2) an agreement analysis. The precision analyses will be conducted utilizing all complete complements of acceptable scans from the test devices and predicate device for each of the 3 configurations. A complete complement of acceptable scans can be defined as subjects having 3 acceptable replicate scans on each of the 3 devices, at each of the 3 configurations. This is also synonymous with 3 scans for each of the 3 configurations on all 3 devices. If subjects have more than 3 acceptable scans per configuration on a device, only the first 3 will be considered for analyses. The agreement analysis will be conducted utilizing the first set of acceptable scans from each instrument for all overlapping measurement types (for all measurement types two or more of the devices have in common) related to performance endpoints.
This is a single visit study to evaluate the visual outcomes and patient satisfaction of patients who were bilaterally implanted with the Tecnis Synergy IOL between June 1 and December 31, 2021 in 2 centers in USA
The objective of this investigator initiated study (IIT-001) is to obtain data on clinical methods which can be used during the examination of patients desiring binocular custom vision with the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL). An analysis of the collected data will be performed to determine whether these clinical assessments can be used by doctors to enhance their patient's clinical outcome.
The current study aims to assess the use of pilocarpine and brimonidine to improve near visual acuity in patietns with monofocal intraocular lenses. Thirty-three subjects with be enrolled and baseline visual acuity with be measured at near and distance. This will be compared to visual acuity after drop administration over 6 hours. A quality of life questionnaire will also be evaluated.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Raindrop Near Vision Inlay implanted in bilateral pseudophakes with presbyopia for improvement of near and intermediate vision.
This research study is being conducted to determine the safety and tolerability of subconjunctival injections of aflibercept in the treatment of pseudophakic cystoid macular edema that has not responded well to first-line standard of care treatment (eye drops). Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema (CME) is swelling of the retina that can occur weeks or years after cataract surgery and typically results in decreased vision. Subconjunctival injections are injections placed just beneath the clear membrane (conjunctiva) of the eye. A recent report of one patient who received two subconjunctival injections of a similar medication to the one being studied here indicated that subconjunctival injections of this class of medication may be an effective and less invasive alternative to intravitreal injections for pseudophakic CME. Because of the similarity of the drugs and the patient's treatment success, we would like to see if subconjunctival injection(s) of aflibercept will work in treating pseudophakic CME. If successful, the risk of an intraocular infection and glaucoma that comes with standard of care treatments might be greatly reduced.
